A year ago, the Haitian blogosphere lost a gem. Kat Kreyolicious really left a mark on our hearts. Before she passed away, I had the privilege of interviewing her, and she told me of her inspiration and process behind the content we grew to love so much. She also told me about one of her favorite little-known Haitian history characters: Joute Lachenais, the lover of two consecutive Haitian presidents.
